Galaxy Z Flip3 unveiled - new technology worth your attention

Today Samsung held its annual Galaxy Unpacked event, where it unveiled a number of its new products. And the first interesting specimen was the Galaxy Z Flip3, an exclusive foldable smartphone with an improved design and new technologies. The difference between the previous model and the new one can be seen immediately in the design, the developers did their best and made it really more comfortable and practical.

Let's start with the exterior, the Galaxy Z Flip3 received as many as 7 colors in the design: beige, black, green, lavender, gray, white and pink (the last 3 colors are exclusive customization on the official Samsung website). On the back is a small display next to the main cameras, which were placed in a neat black block. The frame of the smartphone is made of reinforced aluminum, the screen is protected by durable Gorilla Glass Vicus. Also for additional protection of the screen developers have installed a special protective film based on lavsan. Dimensions Galaxy Z Flip 3 is 166×72.2×6.9 mm, weight - 183 grams.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 got a flexible Dynamic AMOLED 2X matrix at 6.7 inches with a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is 21.9:9, the screen refresh rate is now 120 Hz. The display on the back of the smartphone received a 1.9-inch Super AMOLED matrix with a resolution of 260x512 pixels.

The device has two main cameras on the back and one front camera. On the back there is 1 ultra-wide-angle sensor at 12 MP with an aperture of f/2.2 with support for electronic stabilization and a 2nd wide-angle sensor at 12 MP with an aperture of f/1.8, support for Dual Pixel autofocus and optical stabilization. The front camera is 10 MP with an aperture of f/2.4, and it is located in the opening at the top of the screen.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip with 8 cores clocked at 2.84 GHz and Adreno 660 video gas pedal is responsible for the new product's performance. Another advantage of Galaxy Z Flip 3 - is the support for 5th generation networks, thanks to the built-in modem Snapdragon X60 5G data transfer rate reaches as much as 7.5 Mbit/s. The novelty was given 8 GB of LPDDR5 format RAM, but there will be two configurations with permanent memory - for 128 GB and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 format.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0, has NFC, a USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3,300mAh battery with 15W wired charging, 10W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse charging. The smartphone is fully protected against moisture and swim according to IPX8 standard.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 can be pre-ordered today, but the smartphone will go on sale from August 27. The complete set with 8/128 GB of memory will cost $999, and for 8/256 GB of memory you will have to pay $1049. By comparison, the previous version of the Galaxy Flip was priced at $1380, and the 5G version - $1449.
