Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - a handy professional camera in your hands

There was a grand presentation of a number of new devices from Xiaomi and, as usual, the flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra became the main "star of the evening". This smartphone, though similar in its hardware characteristics to Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, but thanks to its camera was able to attract the attention of absolutely everyone. As the head of the company Xiaomi himself said, the smartphone camera - this is its feature, because it has no analogues among all smartphones, and it is able to compete with the cameras of professional cameras.
Xiaomi boasts a huge staff of people who are involved in the development of cameras for mobile devices, and it is safe to say that the company has really done a good job on the new camera in the Mi 11 Ultra. On the back of the smartphone is a unit with 3 photo sensors. The main sensor is the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 with an optical format 1/1.12 inch and a resolution of 50 megapixels - got optical stabilization and high-quality bright lens. The second sensor is an ultra-wide-angle sensor of 48 megapixels, 1/2-inch optical format and 128° viewing angle. The third is a 48MP periscope module, with a 5x optical zoom and 120x hybrid zoom. In addition, both sensors received optical stabilization.
Also worth noting is the new dToF focusing system with laser autofocus consisting of 64 points. The company noted that installing three such large sensors side by side was not easy, but they were able to do it. Experts from DxOMark have already managed to test the smartphone's camera, as well as giving it very impressive scores. The Mi 11 Ultra received 143 points and proudly took the honorable 1st place in the rating of the best camera phones today.
But to consolidate the title of the best smartphone in terms of photo capabilities, the company decided to take a desperate step and compete with professional cameras. Of course, it's out of the question to compare the smartphone with full-frame DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, but the smartphone can still compete with someone. So at the presentation they compared the photo capabilities of the Sony RX100M7 compact camera with an inch sensor and the Mi 11 Ultra. The mobile camera was able to beat the Sony RX100M7 in dynamic range, brightness and contrast in photos. But that's not all, the Mi 11 Ultra is capable of shooting and recording video simultaneously with 3 lenses.
In addition to the 3 photo sensors on the back cover, there is an auxiliary display, according to the company, it was added for the possibility of self-portraits. Thanks to this display, the user will be able to take selfies using the main camera. But the display is not limited to one feature, and got more advanced functionality. It added the function Always On Display, gave the ability to display information about the state of the smartphone's battery, display notifications, calls and the like.
