It took only a week after the official presentation of Meizu Zero, and the company has already announced a fundraising for production. Crowdfunding company started on the site IndieGoGo. In this campaign, anyone can take part, at the moment Meizu strives to raise about $100,000 to start production and to please the fans with the novelty. Each of the participants must make $1299, this amount guarantees the receipt of the smartphone, after the start of production. It is worth noting that after the announcement of the campaign, Meizu were able to raise $ 23 thousand from the required $ 100 thousand. But given the size of the contribution, most users simply do not believe in a novelty and do not want to risk it. But, apparently, the company itself is unsure of the demand for Meizu Zero, because in the Chinese market the price is too high for the consumer. And therefore, in order to protect the unjustified costs of components for production, the company decides to protect itself with the help of this fundraising campaign. Meizu Zero is positioned as something revolutionary, something that can later change the usual worldview on smartphones. The device is completely devoid of any connectors, physical buttons, everything works through wireless modules. It sounds very unusual, although according to its characteristics, everything remained as it was before, but the developers added protection according to the IP68 standard.
