IPhone sales in Germany are under threat of ban
Now Apple is not experiencing the best moments, because on the one hand the company is crowding the Chinese market, and now the German market may be banned. As it became known, the regional court of Munich decided to ban sales of smartphones from Apple, starting with the iPhone 7. This ban will be valid until the developers from Cupertino do not correct the violation. This decision was made today, the court concluded that Apple violated one of the patents of chip makers. We are talking about envelope tracking technology, which increases the energy-efficiency of smartphones when receiving and sending wireless network signals. The owner of this patent is Qualcomm, this technology was illegally used by Intel and Qorvo Inc., which in turn supply parts to Apple. According to the Reuters publication, the ban includes all smartphones with Intel modems, the company began to introduce them starting with the IPhone 7. But unlike the decision of the Chinese court, it will still be possible to buy smartphones on the German market, but until the verdict of the court will not pass the stage of appeal. Apple lawyers will have to work well to find solid arguments in favor of the company, because we are talking about hardware technology, which, programmatically, is not possible to solve in a short period of time. If the court does not satisfy the appeal, then the German market will be lost for Apple.
