Sharp Aquos R2 Compact, a mini-smartphone with two notches

Sharp introduced its new compact smartphone Aquos R2, which will be released in the first month of next year. The main advantage of the smartphone, according to the developers, is the presence of two cuts from the bottom and top, so the developers were able to simplify the work with the smartphone as much as possible. At the top is a drop-shaped cut-out for the front camera, while the bottom is a “mono-brow” for a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone has a Snapdragon 845 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Aquos R2 is equipped with a 5.2-inch IGZO-display with a resolution of 2280x1080 pixels, an 8 megapixel front camera, and a single 22.6 megapixel camera located on the rear panel. The gadget itself is protected from water and dust according to the IP68 standard, and its dimensions were 131x64x9.3 mm. In spite of everything, the smartphone works on the Android OS 9 Pie, everything else can include the presence of Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C connector and a 3.5 mm audio output.
