Turing - the new platform of the future from NVIDIA
At the annual event SIGGRAPH, NVIDIA presented a very interesting novelty, a new platform Turing, which is already the 8th in a row and is characterized by a deep study of ray tracing. The first products on the new Turing base are processors: Quadro RTX 8000, Quadro RTX 6000 and Quadro RTX 5000. They fully support DLAA, these processors have tensor cores that implement the work of artificial intelligence, thus the computational power of RT cores is combined with the algorithm the tensor kernels work and a 6-fold increase in the ray tracing speed is achieved.

Such processors are intended for the film industry, simulations and the like. The Quadro RTX 5000 has 16 GB of memory, 3,072 CUDA cores and 384 tensor cores, and is the younger version. The RTX 6000 has 24 GB of memory, 4608 cores of CUDA and 576 tensor cores. The top-end model of the RTX 8000 has 48 GB of memory, 4608 CUDA cores and 576 tensor cores. All new items have DisplayPort 1.4, USB Type-C with VirtualLink support for virtual reality helmets. In the sale of video cards will arrive at the end of this year. Price lists for these video cards are not cheap, the younger version of the Quadro RTX 5000 will cost $2300, RTX 6000 - $6300, but the top model RTX 8000 will cost $10,000.
